A family firm philosophy
The company philosophy is simple – to provide quality products at a reasonable price and support this with a prompt, reliable backup service. Select Window Systems does not engage in door-to-door or telephone canvassing; indeed, most of our new business comes from recommendations from our existing customers.
Select Window Systems was established in 1990 by Bob Trotter, who, having worked for a major international building company, identified a need for a reliable local window and door supplier. He intended to offer a personal service free from the aggravation associated with the major national companies. The business is now run by Bob's elder son, James, who continues to lead the personal approach for the company along with the surveying staff and experienced installer teams.

We work with quality suppliers, providing an extensive portfolio of window, door and conservatory solutions. Our long-standing business relationship with Deceuninck glazing products through Sternfenster Fabrications and Solidor composite doors enable us to provide industry-leading assurance and backup.
Successfully growing our business
The majority of our business is with private households, providing an increasing array of window design options in uPVC and aluminium and which are now increasingly offered as part of a contractor service to local housebuilders – both for full house builds and extensions. We have seen substantial growth in demand for custom made products from leading-edge glazing frames for prestigious architectural designs as well as striking bi-fold and sliding door installations.
FENSA registered window and door installer
Select Window Systems is an approved FENSA installer. FENSA is a government-authorised scheme that monitors building regulation compliance for replacement windows and doors.
Every FENSA Approved Installer is assessed regularly to ensure its standards are continually maintained.
On completion, customers get a FENSA certificate that ensures the installation will comply with all Building Regulations, uses energy-efficient products and is registered with your local council.
